Why doesn't Advanced Immune Support - Black Elderberry with Zinc + Vitamin D3 contain Vitamin K2?Updated 15 days ago

Dr. Berg designed this supplement as an "Advanced Immune Support" tool intended for short-term use. It is specifically formulated to provide a high-potency boost (15,000 IU of Vitamin D3) to help someone with a weakened immune system or during an active immune challenge. Because it is meant for short-duration support rather than daily long-term maintenance, Vitamin K2 was not included in the primary blend.

When taking high doses of Vitamin D3 (like 15,000 IU) over an extended period, Vitamin K2 becomes essential. Dr. Berg often teaches that Vitamin D3 increases calcium absorption, but Vitamin K2 is the "traffic cop" that ensures that calcium is deposited in your bones and teeth rather than forming deposits in your arteries or kidneys (hypercalcemia).

If you plan to use this product long-term, we strongly encourage you to supplement with Vitamin K2 separately. Dr. Berg typically recommends about 100 mcg of K2 (in the MK-7 form) for every 10,000 IU of D3 taken daily to maintain a healthy calcium balance.
