Why Does the Hair Formula have a Prop 65 Warning?Updated 2 months ago

Why the Warning is Present
The State of California’s Prop 65 standards are among the strictest in the world—often set far below the federal safety levels established by the FDA. In the case of our Hair Formula, the warning is triggered by the blend's natural botanical ingredients, specifically Ginseng, Horsetail, and Saw Palmetto.

These plants are grown in soil, and because they are natural "accumulators," they can absorb trace amounts of minerals—including lead—directly from the earth.

Natural Ingredients and Compliance
Because these ingredients are sourced from nature, there is always a baseline risk that levels will fluctuate. While these levels are often considered safe by federal standards, this particular batch exceeded the exceptionally low threshold required by California law, necessitating the warning label.

Our Commitment to Quality
Dr. Berg is committed to providing the highest quality nutrients. We strictly monitor our sourcing and manufacturing processes to ensure that while our ingredients remain natural and effective, they meet the necessary regulatory requirements for transparency.
